How WolfPups on Wheels Was Born: A Big Brother’s Love and a Family’s Hope

The idea for WolfPups on Wheels wasn’t born in a boardroom or sketched out in a business plan. It was born at our kitchen table in the Summer of 2024. It was born from love, the kind of deep, protective, determined love that only a sibling can have.

We had just been talking—again—about how hard it had been to afford the things Bennett needed: his adaptive bike, his mobility aids, the therapy sessions that have made such a difference. We were juggling numbers, calculating what else we could shift or sacrifice to make it all work. And Bo, in his most authentic, honest and matter-of-fact way, said: “We should help other kids like Bennett. We should start something to get them what they need.”

That was it. That was the spark. WolfPups on Wheels was Bo’s idea—born from his absolute love for his brother and his generous, kind spirit. And once he said it, we couldn’t stop thinking about it.

Because as a family, we know exactly what it feels like to want something so badly for your child, something that you know will help them move, speak, or thrive, and not be able to afford it. We’ve scraped together change. We’ve gone without. We’ve crossed our fingers and prayed for grants to come through. And we’ve lived in that space where things feel just a little bit out of reach, even when your heart knows how important they are.

We’ve also felt the overwhelming gratitude of finally making it happen. Of watching Bennett ride his bike down the sidewalk, his face full of joy. Of seeing him take a step, or use his AAC device, or participate in therapy that brings out his strength and confidence. Those moments are priceless and we believe every family deserves the chance to experience them.

That’s why we started WolfPups on Wheels, so we can help ease some financial burden for families needing adaptive bikes, mobility equipment, communication devices, and intensive therapies that insurance often won’t touch. But even more than that, we offer community. We offer understanding. We offer hope.

WolfPups on Wheels isn’t just about equipment—it’s about showing up for families like ours. It’s about creating a world where kids with disabilities are included, celebrated, and supported. And it’s about honoring the fierce love that started it all.

From one family to another, we’re here. And we’re building a pack.
